Trial Highlight: Maine Fresh Market Norwis

Strike 85 vs. Grower Standard Treatment Soil Fumigation Trial.

Norwis is a common scab magnet. At this farm, it was being grown for the fresh market. The Grower Standard (no fumigation) had 230 cwt/A culls (can’t be sold) because of common scab compared to Strike 85 at 48 cwt/A. This resulted in the Strike 85 treated plants producing 224 more cwt/A in marketable yield. At a low price of $20/cwt, that is a return of $4,480/A. Around a net of $4,000/A after the cost of Strike.
